ASUS ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro are all set to launch in India later today. These are the company’s latest gaming phones and succeed the ROG Phone 5 lineup. Since they are debuting in the latter half of 2022, we expect they will pack the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. As they are gaming phones, ASUS is also expected to bring accessories, including a controller that surfaced online recently. Besides the hardware, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 series is also expected to have interesting design language for aesthetics.

The ASUS ROG Phone 6 series specifications are not completely leaked yet but we can speculate it will emphasise liquid cooling technology, up to 1TB storage option, 18GB LPDDR5 RAM, and Android 12 OS, among others.

ASUS ROG Phone 6, 6 Pro specifications

The ASUS ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro complete specifications will be revealed at the launch event but some key hardware details have been tipped. The lineup is expected to come with the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset coupled with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset is likely to be paired with up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB/1TB storage.

The ASUS ROG Phone 6 and ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro should run on Android 12-based ASUS custom skin on top. The vanilla ROG Phone 6 is said to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate for gaming enthusiasts. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Moving to optics, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 is expected to have triple cameras on the back, with a 64MP primary shooter and 5X optical zoom. It could have an IPX4 rating, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio support and more.
